What this is

Uff Da Eats is a food truck. When a customer chooses to give us their mobile number at the truck window, we send one text message per order when their food is ready for pickup. We do not send marketing, promotions, or any other messages.

Example of the only message we send:

Chris, your Uff Da Eats order #0007 is ready for pickup! Reply STOP to opt out.

How customers opt in (verbal, in person)

  1. The customer orders in person at the truck window.
  2. The staff member asks: “Want a text when your order's ready? You can enter your phone number here.”
  3. The customer decides on their own whether to type their own mobile number into our Square handheld register for their digital receipt and order-ready text. Giving a number is optional and is never required to order or pay.
  4. A sign posted at the window tells every customer: “Phone numbers are used for receipts and order-ready texts. Reply STOP to opt out.” (See the window sign.)

Customers who order online at truck.uffdaeats.com can optionally enter their mobile number in the pickup details; the order page states that it will be used to text them when the order is ready.

Message frequency

One message per order, sent when the order is ready. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or ask at the truck window.

Privacy policy

We collect a customer's name and mobile number only to give a receipt and send the order-ready text for that order. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are processed by our payment system (Square) and our text provider (Twilio) only to deliver the receipt and the message.

Terms of service

By giving us your mobile number at the truck window you agree to receive one automated order-ready text per order from Uff Da Eats. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
